Volunteers Wanted!

We know children equipped with better reading skills have a higher likelihood of completing high school and college. Our aim is to arm every classroom with a diverse array of books that cater to the experiences and cultures of all students, but especially those from marginalized backgrounds.

Our initiative the Virtual Readers Club fosters the joy of reading by having volunteers read, share their stories and engage students in the love of storytelling. Children who are read to regularly and develop a love for reading are not only more likely to excel academically overall, but they also show a strong correlation with success in STEM fields.

This early exposure to reading fosters critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and a curiosity about the world, all of which are essential for success in STEM disciplines.
